IMARAN HASHMI

Biography
Emraan Hashmi’s six years in Bollywood have earned him the title of a serial kisser owing to a surplus of scorching, lingering, fleeting kisses that his roles have demanded of him, ensuring he is always in demand. There is more to him than that, of course.

Backtracking
Emraan Anwar Hashmi was born on 23 March 1979 to Anwar, a Muslim and Maherahh, a Catholic. Bollywood director Mahesh Bhatt is his uncle and actress turned director Pooja Bhatt is his cousin. He is also related to singer Atif Aslam.

He graduated from Sydenham College in Mumbai.

Emraan married his sweetheart Parveen Shahani on 14 December 2006.

The bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi is upset and angry these days. Recently, Emraan Hashmi applied for buying a house in Nibbana Cooperative Society in Pali Hill but the society refused to give him the house.

The actor wanted to take the house near to his parents’ residence.

The actor claimed that the society is biased against his Muslim identity. The actor has filed a complaint againt the society with the State Minority Commission.
Abraham Mathai, the State Minority Commission Vice-Chairman said, "We are sending summons to the society, asking for an explanation."

Emraan Hashmi said, "My parents went to meet society members last week (for the NoC) along with the seller and the broker. Society members, however, told them they were busy and refused to meet them. I found it really offensive."

He added, "The seller, Suvarna, has now informed us that the society will not give us an NOC and it has blocked the sale. We have information that this has been done as they are discriminating against Muslims and will not allow any Muslim in the society."

Mr Chatri - The Secretary of Housing Society said, “But there is no ban on Muslims; we know all Muslims are not terrorists. People from all over the country stay here -- even I have come from a different part of the country -- but one has to know who is coming in."
The actor has had faced similar problems in 2007 when he was searching the house in the same area.

Emraan Hashmi confirms, "I faced a similar situation in August 2007, when I was looking for a house in the same area; residents and brokers told me I would not be able to get a house because I was a Muslim. But I later managed to get one."
Emraan Hashmi on a secret mission

If you were in Mumbai over the weekend and watched Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai in a single screen theatre and had a man sitting next to you or standing in the aisle with a cap and shades, chances are you saw none other than Emraan Hashmi. The actor, in order to gauge the response of his recent release, visited numerous single screen theatres in Mumbai incognito.

Says a friend of Emraan, "To begin with, Emraan's idea was to connect with his fans directly for Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai. Despite going to eleven cities for a promotional tour that lasted for a fortnight, Emraan wasn't allowing any fatigue to set in. This is a major film for him that has him in a dramatic avatar and he wasn't going to let go of the opportunity for his fanbase to increase manifold. Due to this, he decided to go to not one, not two but all single screen cinema halls in Mumbai to meet the audience and know their views about the movie."

As a result, a surprised audience saw Emraan Hashmi amidst them. To begin with, he wanted to directly interact with audience and hence didn't have any qualms about walking in casually and asking them about what they felt after the end credits had rolled.

Emran Hashmi made his debut in the movie Footpath (2003). It was one of the few Emran Hashmi movies that did not do too well at the box office.

Emran Hashmi is the nephew of the famous director and producer Mahesh Bhatt. He has therefore done most of his movies under the Mahesh Bhatt banner. However, to his credit, he has managed to give several hits for the production house.
Emran Hashmi Movies – Some Trivia
One notable feature is that most of Emran Hashmi movies have had hit music too. Himesh Reshamiya and Kunal Gunjawala have been the playback singers in his movies and they have given him some superb songs. The actor was named as the `serial kisser’ for the kissing scenes in his earlier movies, and he later tried hard to shed the image. He has given several interviews where he has stated his unwillingness to kiss any more on screen. Emran Hashmi has added an extra `a’ to his name and changed it to Emraan.

Bruno Mars

Bruno-MarsBruno Mars is almost famous. You see, right now the Hawaii native is the guy next to the guy with the No. 2 record on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. Mars is the smooth voice featured on B.o.B’s “Nothin’ On You.” Not only does he croon on the hook, but as one-third of the Smeezingtons (yeah, that’s their name), he produced the pop-rap track, too. He’s also on Travie McCoy’s recent single “Billionaire,” and he  has his own EP, It’s Better If You Don’t Understand, on the way as well. Below, the 23-year-old talks about his recent success, how he snuck in a chorus about oral sex on Flo Rida’s 2009 smash “Right Round,” and why he’s annoyed with Rihanna.
The Smeezingtons are your production team. Who are the other two and where did that name come from?

n tIt’s me, Phillip Lawrence, and Ari Levine. We don’t take ourselves too seriously. We used to always say in the studio, “Yo, this is going to be a smash!” And then it turned into, “This is a smeeze!” Then, “This is a Smeezington.” We were just like, “We should just base our whole situation upohis word. How great would it be if record labels were like, ‘We have to get The Smeezingtons involved?’”
What was first big hit you guys produced?
We wrote “Right Round” for Flo Rida. That was a sample, obviously, but we got our name in there and got some publishing. And it was a No. 1 record. That was our first taste of what could really happen with a hit we hundred-percented.
The chorus is about oral sex, right?
Right.

A lot of people don’t get it. Was it an inside joke when you all thought of it?
For Flo Rida we just thought that would be the right road to take. It was actually a freestyle.  Phil and I came up with that in two minutes. We were in the business after that! [Laughs]
Initially you wanted to be a solo artist, but you became a successful producer first. Why did you sideline your solo plans?
Out of frustration, I decided that I’m going to do everything on my own. When I met Phillip, I was like, “This artist s— ain’t working.” We had the opportunity to sell a song that I wanted for myself. At first I was like, “No way! This is my work. This is my art!” And then they said, “We’ll give you $20,000.” I was like, “Here. You can have it.” [Laughs] I learned the hard way that in this business, you have to do everything yourself. It’s not like in the movies where you sign a record contract and then you’re rubbing shoulders with Timbaland and Pharrell.Who was that first big money track for?

Oh, I don’t even want to say! It was a song that they took for a boy band. And then they asked me if I had more songs. I ended producing a song for Brandy called “Long Distance.” It just steamrolled into me becoming this producer all of a sudden. Instead of labels calling me up to sign me, they were like, “Can we have some of our artists come in and work with you guys and write some songs?”
Who was that first big money track for?

Oh, I don’t even want to say! It was a song that they took for a boy band. And then they asked me if I had more songs. I ended producing a song for Brandy called “Long Distance.” It just steamrolled into me becoming this producer all of a sudden. Instead of labels calling me up to sign me, they were like, “Can we have some of our artists come in and work with you guys and write some songs?”

So how did you manage to get to stay on “Nothin’ On You” and Travie McCoy’s “Billionaire”?
I kept doing the demos and singing the songs. And with “Billionaire” and “Nothin’ On You,” that was really the kind of artist I was trying to be, especially with “Nothin’ On You,” with these beautiful melodies.  I sang the song and gave it to an A&R at Atlantic. They loved it. And the rest, corny as it sounds, is history.
You’re coming from being relatively unknown to having the second-biggest song in the country. How much momentum does this add to the start of your career as a solo artist?
As long as I’ve been trying to do this, it does feel like overnight success. Although I have been struggling for four years trying to do this music thing, as soon as that song came out, [the label said] “Okay, we have to put your album out!”

So what can we expect from you as the frontman?

I know a lot of artists say this, but it’s hard to put myself in a box. I just write songs that I strongly believe in and that are coming form a special place. There’s no tricks. I don’t have mascara on on one eye.  It’s honesty. If you like “Nothin’ On You” and you like “Billionaire,” that’s what you’re going to get. You’re going to get these melodies. And I’m going to be singing the s— out of it.

You guys also produced K’Naan’s “Waving Flag,” the 2010 World Cup’s official anthem. How’d you land that job?
K’Naan had the song “Waving Flag” for a while. He was performing that hook, “When I get older, I will be stronger…” And he never got into the studio and produced it. He called us and asked if we wanted to take a crack at it. It turned out beautifully and made his album. K’Naan called us later and said, “Hey, I have this opportunity. Coca Cola is really interested in getting ‘Flags.’  I want to get back in the studio with you guys and revamp it.” We got the word that they love it. They’re going for it. The version that they’ll play is real tribal with African drums. It’s a whole stadium kind of thing. Matisyahu’s song “One Day” was NBC’s 2010 Winter Olympic theme song. That’s another song we wrote and produced. Its kind of been the best year of our lives.

When did first you move to L.A. to pursue music?

As soon as I graduated in Hawaii. There’s really not much you can do in the music scene down there. There are no record companies in Waikiki. [Laughs]

In L.A. a lot the bus boys and waitresses are aspiring superstars. Did you have a regular job before you hit it big?

Yeah. I couldn’t pay rent. I’d always been a working musician in Hawaii and never had problems paying rent. And then it’s like, “Now I’m in L.A. and my phone’s getting shut off.” That’s when reality hit. I started DJing. It was something silly. I told this person I could DJ because they said they could pay me $75 cash under the table. I didn’t know how to DJ. I lost that job pretty quick.

Who are some artists that you’ll be producing and writing with for their projects?
Cee-Lo. I’ve got a session with Keri Hilson after that. Mike Posner. Cobra Starship. Endless, man! The list is endless!

For the third week in a row now, “Nothin’ On You” is right behind Rihanna at No. 2.

Damn that Rihanna! [Laughs] Oh man, we’re so close we can taste it!

Taylor Swift Lands Lindsay Lohan’s Role in One Night With You

It seems like country crooner Taylor Swift is picking up the pieces of Lindsay Lohan’s busted career. Recent reports indicate that producers from the film One Night With You, snatched the role from Lindsay Lohan and handed it to Taylor Swift. The film will be Swift’s first major role in film, having participated in 2009′s Valentine’s Day and televisions CSI with small parts.

One Night With You centers around a now grown child star finding fame in reality television as an adult. Writer and producer Richard O’Sullivan originally had Lindsay Lohan in mind when the film was created but changed his mind after Lohan’s last snafu with the law involving failed drug tests, jail time, and a 4th (!) trip to rehab for drug and addiction treatment

This year is starting out great for young country singer Taylor Swift. She’s scheduled to appear on an episode of CSI this season and her new dress collection will be on Wal-mart racks this month.

She joined with l.e.i. to create the collection of $14 dresses. Seems like a shrewd move considering this country’s economic doldrums.

“Sundresses are my favorite things to wear,” Swift told New York magazine. “In the summer, I automatically want to look bohemian.”
She’s not pretending to be the designer, either. She’s leaving that to the professionals, but she’ll have some say in the collection.
“I don’t look at it like I’m branching out as a designer. It’s not the Taylor Swift designer line or whatever,” she says of the line.

“I like people who have worked their entire lives to become designers. I think that they have their place as designers and I have my place as a musician, and I’m going to pretty much stick to that.”

Country singer Taylor Swift says that she doesn’t like to talk about her diet and exercise secrets because people should focus on her music and not how hard she works out. But in all fairness, we all want to know what Taylor does to stay so fit and how manages to eat a healthy diet with all that is going on with her career. So how is she doing it?

”Food is my moment of weakness, because I don’t diet. I don’t like it. For me, I would eat healthy, but I refuse to use the term “diet”,” explained the singer. “I’m happy with how I look and I’m not gonna you know…if I want to eat a cheeseburger, it’s going to happen,” she added.

The Raw Food Diet is based on consuming unprocessed, preferably organic, whole plant-based foods, at least 75 per cent of which should be uncooked. So although Taylor follows this “diet”, she still enjoys eating her favorite junk-food and yeah, she’ll have a burger once in a while – nothing wrong with that. As long as you eat everything in moderation, your weight should be okay.

As for exercise, Taylor claims she doesn’t have much time in her schedule for that, but she still tries to hit the gym 3 times a week. Mostly, Taylor works on her butt, abs and arms to keep them toned and flab-free.
Taylor Swift is a hot singing sensation - and we're not just talking about on the airways.

With her smash hit "Love Story", the 18-year-old singer is the youngest person to write and sing a No. 1 country single. Because we - and just about the rest of the world - feel sorry for her after what that jackass Kanye West did to her during the VMAs, we're featuring her interview with Men's Fitness right here. Pay close attention because here she spills the beans on what kind of guys she'll date (Which probably doesn't include obnoxious hip-hoppers who steals your mic and says something to totally embarass you on national TV).

SELENA GOMEZ

SELENA GOMEZ THE SCENE

To the younger set, Selena Gomez is most recognizable for her TV roles first as a recurring character on Hannah Montana and now as the seasoned star of another Disney Channel hit, Wizards of Waverly Place. What does this mean? Well, among other things, it means that most men might not be intricately familiar with her, unless they’ve been forced to watch her due to parental obligations. Something of a mini- Jennifer Lopez in her looks and film, TV, fashion, and musical pursuits, Gomez is on the cusp of crossing over from famous teen stardom to worldwide celebrity. As her pop culture status will likely change soon with a little help from Katie Cassidy and Leighton Meester we thought we’d offer an appropriate introduction.
Selena Gomez was born and raised in Grand Prairie, Texas. Her mother Amanda (Commonly known as Mandy) Cornett is an Italian woman from Dallas, Texas and her father Ricardo Gomez is from New Mexico.

Mommy Mandy gave birth to Selena at 16, and her parents divorced in 1997. Nearly 10 years later she remarried to Brian Teefy. Selena is best known for her role as Alex Russo in the show 'Wizards Of Waverly Place' and as Mary in 'Another Cinderella Story'. Selena signed a record deal with Hollywood Records just before her 16th birthday and is recording an album due out Summer of 2009.
Date of Birth- 22 July 1992, Grand Prairie, Texas, USA
Birth Name- Selena Marie Gomez
Nickname- Sel, Selly
Height- 5' 5" (1.65 m)
Special in Her:- Her big smile :)
This weekend, Selena Gomez (And The Scene!) gifted her fans with a sneak peek of her killer new song, "Bang Bang Bang." TODAY, the girl gave it up in full and revealed the full song -- and thank goodness she did, because we were sort of starting to lose it.
While the "Bang Bang Bang" preview gave us a little taste of the more mature and sultry Selena, the full version takes it to a whole new level. The Toby Gad-produced jam has got a cool '80s vibe, while still capturing that same young and fresh sound Selena is known for. A marked departure from sunny and bright records like "Who Says," Selena confidently, coyly croons, "My new boy, knows the way I want it/he's got more swagger than you, he's got more swagger than you do."
Um, obviously, we all know who Selena's "new boy" is, and we'd wager a few of our hard-earned bucks that her new relationship has made a big impact on her fresh new sound. And speaking of fresh, Selena's got a new look to go with her new record and new man. And may we just say, we think it's working for her. Just look at that Texas hair! Does that remind you of a Disney starlet? We think not. But, we gotta hand it to her. Even in the midst of all the growing pains that accompany shaping a new look, Selena is still keeping it classy and producing irresistible new pop tracks too. Stay tuned for Selena Gomez's full-length album, When The Sun Goes Down, out June 28.

Michael jackson

Michael Jackson portrait

Michael Joseph Jackson (born August 29, 1958) is an American musician and entertainer whose successful music career and controversial personal life have been at the forefront of pop culture for the last quarter-century.  It is a shame that this incredibly talented, but vulnerable artist should have left himself open to all manner of attacks in such open and innocent fashion. However, his music is a lasting legacy.

Jackson began his musical career at the age of seven as the lead singer of The Jackson 5 and released his first solo recording, Got to Be There in 1971, while remaining a member of the group. He began a full-fledged solo career in 1979 and formally parted with his siblings in 1984. In his solo career, Jackson recorded and co-produced the best-selling album of all time, Thriller, which was named as the world's best-selling album at the 2006 World Music Awards. It has worldwide sales exceeding that of 104 million. Michael Jackson has received thirteen Grammy awards and charted thirteen number-one singles in the United States.

Michael Jackson has just died and a major shock is currently hitting the world after so many years of an amazing presence from such a musical icon. The late King of Pop, Michael Jackson, has just passed away without (yet) many actual explanations or reasons how, and only assumptions could arise based on the paparazzi media frenzy, speculations of the bizarre and eccentric lifestyle, and guesses of what has happened to the long time musical star. This comes as a major celebrity blow, especially with Farrah Fawcett (1947-2009) passing away on the same day after her battle with cancer.
Of course what Michael Jackson has become famous for these days, admitting you are a fan of his is not a good thing. Referring here to those child molestation allegations which brought down his career.
Also, admitting you are a fan of a 49 year old man who talks like a 9 year old girl and has hair and wears make up like a 39 year woman is not cool, I should say I am a fan of his music and not of him.

THE FACTS
Unsealed search warrants reveal that Michael Jackson used skin-bleaching products.

THE SPIN
It’s a question that’s been debated for years and years: Does Michael Jackson dip out to Kim’s Beauty Supply every now and then to scoop up the skin bleaching aisle?
Michael always denied using those products, but warrants from his death investigation prove otherwise.

Via Hip Hop Wired:

Newly unsealed search warrants are providing more information about police findings at the home of Michael Jackson. The search warrants are revealing what many people have speculated for years, that Michael Jackson did use [skin-lightening] creams with a total of 37 tubes of product found.
Before after michael jackson
On November 15, 2006, Michael Jackson received the Diamond Award, for selling over 100 million albums, at the World Music Awards. This was his second public appearance at an awards show since the trial of 2005. Despite substantial publicity prior to the event, he did not perform "Thriller", limiting his performance to "one verse and one chorus" of "We are the World". Coverage of the event noted that Jackson "looked uncomfortable at times" and called the appearance "an unhappy return to the London stage". According to the head of public relations for the World Music Awards (Julius Just), the sound was cut due to a noise curfew. Officials at Earl's Court, the arena where the event was held, have said that this was not the case and that they had "accommodated the show and the show's organisers by obtaining an extension to our licence in order to allow the show to run to eleven o'clock".
